bought the platinum drinkwell several months ago. I think it's a very well made product. However, bigger than I anticipated and I wish that the water flow adjustment could go lower since my 2 scaredy cats are not very comfortable with even the gentlest setting. They don't seem to know how to drink, while avoiding getting their head dripped on by water. So I rigged up something that will make the water flow down the back wall and not make any noise or splash whatsoever. They like it now. The reservoir holds a lot of water. It isn't too much of a hassle to clean. Overall, very pleased with it. Although I think I wouldn't mind a smaller version of this.
